The United Nations Security Council was created by the president consisting of 15 members. The council was created to keep the world secure, and in this case, secure from communism.
The UN Security Council condemned North Korea's plan on invasion of the South. However, the council meeting were boycotted since January 1950 so they had to come to an agreement. After debating the matters, the Security Council published Resolution 83 on June 27, 1950. This plan recommended the government to yield military assistance to the Republic of Korea. The same day, President Truman ordered U.S air and sea forces to help the South Korean regime.
